Earth tube is a long-buried pipe along which air flows forcefully by using blower or naturally simply tilting a pipe
with very small angle, and then air travels due to density difference through the pipe. The air passes into pipe through filter and removes dust particle. Air takes up or loses its heat to/from the surrounding soil. Eventually air enters the room as conditioned air during the cooling and heating period. Earth tube system can effectively be used to reduce the heating and cooling load in winter and summer respectively.
A parametric study has been carried out to find the output air temperature with the effect of the pipe radius, pipe length, air flow velocity, and number of tubes.
